A Mass of Christian burial for Stanley L. Sojka, age 92, of Norfolk, will be Wednesday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in rural Clearwater, with Rev. Louis Sojka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, rural Ewing.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11 from 7 until 8 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Neligh, with an 8 p.m. wake service.

Stanley died Thursday, June 6, at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.
Stanley Louis Sojka was born July 22, 1926 to Louis and Stefania (Ciapicrzynska) Sojka near Page. He grew up on a farm near Ewing, graduated from the eighth grade at District #146 southwest of Ewing then graduated from Tech High School in Omaha, before returning to the Ewing area to farm.
On June 12, 1950, Stanley married Kathryn Theresa Koenig at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Deloit Township. Stanley and Kathryn made their home southwest of Ewing where they farmed and raised their children, Rose Marie, Beverly, Stanley, Julie, Barbara, Ted, Mary and Tom. Kathryn died April 19, 1989 and shortly after, Stanley retired to Neligh.
On Oct. 3, 1992, Stanley married Kathryn Koenig Molt. They resided in Neligh and Albion and enjoyed traveling, playing pitch, visiting family and friends, dancing and watching Judge Judy, westerns and detective shows.
Stanley loved people and liked joking around with them. He had a passion for cattle and enjoyed taking drives around the country. In 2013, Stanley’s health forced him to move to Norfolk, where he lived with his son, Tom and wife, Patty until entering Heritage of Bel Air in 2014.
He is survived by his second wife, Kathryn Koenig Molt Sojka of Albion; his children, Rose (Richard) Stehno of South Jordan, Utah, Beverly Sojka of Omaha, Stanley Sojka of Ewing, Julie (Doug) Ryan of Lincoln, Ted Sojka of Omaha, Mary (Bill) Langenberg of Hoskins and Tom (Patty) Sojka of Norfolk; son-in-law, Chuck Thiele of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and brother, Dr. Louis (Jackie) Sojka of Omaha along with other relatives and friends.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Kathryn; infant sons, (twins) Stephen and Stanley; daughter, Barbara Sojka Thiele; brother, Julian Sojka and sister, Sofie Schmidt.
