A two-vehicle accident sent a Ewing man to a local hospital, following a Saturday morning collision, reported at 9:08 a.m.
Bryce Summers, 20, of Ewing, driving a 2005 Chevy Impala, was attempting to turn onto Nebraska Street from U.S. Highway 275, in Ewing, when he collided head-on with a 2016 GMC Sierra, driven and owned by Riley Chohon, of Norfolk.
According to the accident report, released by the Holt County Sheriff's office, Summers did not see the Chohon vehicle approaching the intersection, as it was traveling north.
Three occupants of the Chohon vehicle were wearing seat belts. A fourth individual was in a car seat.
According to a Sheriff's office report, all airbags deployed in the Chohon vehicle. No injuries were reported at the scene from Chohon or his passengers.
Ewing Fire and Rescue transported Summers to Avera St. Anthony's Hospital, in O'Neill, for treatment to injuries.
Summers was not wearing a seat belt at the time of impact. Airbags were not deployed.
Estimated damage to the Chohon vehicle was $20,000.
The Summers' vehicle, owned by Mike Summers, of Ewing, was considered a total loss.
Officer Steven Binkerd, Holt County Sheriff's deputy, investigated.
