A warrant for a 19-year-old Creighton man was issued following a report he sent a threatening message on Wednesday, May 1, via Snapchat, to a co-defendant in a prior case.
Tegan O. McLean was arrested May 8 by City of Creighton police.
According to the probable cause affidavit, McLean and co-defendant Zane Herley, age 19, of Clearwater, appeared in Antelope County Court May 1, at similar times.
Both faced charges for an incident that occurred on March 6 outside of Casey’s General Store in Neligh.
McLean allegedly sent an electronic message to Herley about a plea deal Herley reached with Antelope County Attorney Joe Abler.
The message included threatening comments to Herley’s life regarding a casket and obituary.
It also threatened Herley’s family members.
McLean posted bond in the amount of $20,000, 10 percent on May 13 and is scheduled for arraignment on June 12.
He faces charges of terroristic threats and intimidation by electronic communication.
