The Clearwater Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its 52nd annual rodeo, with contestants from all over the Midwest anticipated for three nights of competition.
Rodeo action is scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 28-30, at Gene Snodgrass Arena in Clearwater.
Competition begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Sunday.
Saturday’s evening rodeo show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Rodeo events include bareback riding, saddle broncs, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
Mutton Bustin’ will start one-half hour before the main event each evening.

On Friday, the 2019 Miss Clearwater Rodeo will be crowned.
Macy Zentner, reigning Miss Clearwater Rodeo, will crown her successor prior to Friday’s rodeo events.
Each evening of the rodeo will feature a wild cow ride. Teams of three can sign up the night of the event.
Slack, if needed, will run after Friday evening’s program.
And, don’t forget to visit the new concession stand at the rodeo grounds.
World-famous rodeo barbecues, along with other treats and cold beverages, will be served nightly.
At 9 p.m. and continuing until 1 a.m., the James Lee Band will perform on Main Street.
On Saturday, sand volleyball and corn hole tournaments will be held at the Clearwater Park.

Schlecht Trucking and Snake Creek Trucking will host free inflatables for kids of all ages at the park, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m.
The James Lee Band will serve as the opening act for country stars Morgan Wallen and HARDY.
The concert will be held on Clearwater’s Main Street, beginning at 8 p.m.
HARDY, is scheduled to perform at 9 p.m.
His current hit, Rednecker, sits at number 18 on the Billboard Top 40 country chart.
Morgan Wallen will headline at 10 p.m.
On June 1, Wallen’s love-gone-wrong song, Whiskey Glasses, was positioned at number three on the Billboard Top 40 chart.
Following Wallen’s performance, the James Lee Band is scheduled to close the concert.
Coolers are not allowed at the rodeo grounds or the dance.
