Lacey Jean Hughes and Gregory Edward Porn were united in marriage at an afternoon ceremony October 5, 2012. Fr. Dan Andrews performed the ceremony at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk.

    The bride, daughter of Ted and Charlene Hughes of Neligh, was given in marriage by her father. Parents of the groom are Ned and Lorri Porn of Norfolk.

    Autumn Hughes of Wahoo was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Lesley Johnson of Omaha; Jess Funk of Kokomo, Ind.; Miranda Billings of Orchard; Brynn Hughes of Neligh; and Kayla Stappert, Madina Haase and Itgel Bekhbat of Omaha.

    Flower girls were Kiah Smith and Isabel Smith of Wahoo, Brylie Billings of Orchard and Evelyn Johnson of Omaha.

    Ringbearer was Micah Hughes of Neligh.

    Ben Sudbeck of Norfolk served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Porn of Norfolk; Matt Porn of Bloomington, Ind.; Alex Hughes of Norfolk; Nathan Hughes of Neligh; and Andy Stappert, Charlie Haase and Ross Wendel of Omaha.

    Ushers were Gabe Smith and Calin Smith of Wahoo; Ian Atwood of Charleston, S.C.; Mike Meyer of Meadow Grove; and Sam Haase of Atlanta.

    Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the newlyweds are making their home in Norfolk.

    The bride, a graduate of Neligh-Oakdale High School, holds an associates degree in photography and interior design and a BFA in graphic design, print and web. She is an interior designer at Interiors Inc. of Norfolk. The groom, a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education. He is employed by Ned Porn Construction of Norfolk.
