William “Willie” J. Anderson, age 30, of Grimes, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 16, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 19, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. Pastor Tom Shaw officiated. Interment was in Purple Cane Cemetery, North Bend.
Willie James Anderson was born May 29, 1983, in Neligh to Brad and Susan Brown Anderson.
Willie attended and graduated from Bergan High School in 2001. After graduation, he attended Milford Community College and studied surveying.
He met the love of his life, Alecia Suzanne Krula, in 2008. They were married on September 11, 2009, in Des Moines, Iowa, and were blessed with two children, Mila Brynn and Atley James.
Willie was a member of the Lutheran Church of Hope, in West Des Moines, Iowa. He was an arborist and he and Alecia started their own tree service business in 2013. Their future plans were to develop the business in Nebraska.
A few of Willie’s greatest qualities were: he was full of life, charismatic, adventurous, genuine, hard working, good-hearted, everyone was his friend, caring, protective and greatest of all, he had a heart the size of the Grand Canyon.
Willie left us on Dec. 16 to join other loved ones. They include his grandparents Robert “Brownie” and Bonnie Brown; close friend, Jim Fritz and his brother-in-law, William Krula.
He is survived by his wife, Alecia, and children, Mila and Atley; his parents, Brad and Susan Anderson; his brother, Michael “Mikey” Anderson of Fremont; Gary and Carla Krula of Rogers; brother-in-law, Joseph Krula of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister-in-law, Callie Krula of Lakewood, Colo.; grandparents, Tom and Janell Anderson and Carl Bogner all of Fremont; aunts and uncles, Brad and Deb Lensch; Bob and Renee Brown; Tom and Vicki Brown; Larry and Jolene Brown of Fremont; Chad and Kim Marsh of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Darren and Julie Schellenberg of LeMars, Iowa; Bill and RaGene Warner of Prague; Patty Brown of North Bend; a nephew, Jarrett Anderson of Fremont; special friends, Sophie Freund of Hungary and Sarah Noll of Germany; numerous cousins and close friends.
Memorials will go to Mila and Atley’s college fund.
